Ringing in the Year of the Rabbit: A Joyful CNY Celebration

A Lunar New Year Extravaganza for Our Primary Students

Our Primary students welcomed the Year of the Rabbit with great enthusiasm, dedicating a special afternoon to the rich traditions of Chinese New Year. The campus was transformed into a hub of cultural discovery as students participated in a wide variety of hands-on activities. From traditional calligraphy and festive crafts to learning about the zodiac and the history of the spring festival, it was a wonderful opportunity for our older students to deepen their appreciation for our local heritage while celebrating with their peers.

Family Fun at the SJC CNY Fair 2022-2023

The festive spirit continued with our youngest learners! Our Pre-Nursery and Kindergarten students, along with their parents, gathered for the much-anticipated SJC CNY Fair. This event served as a beautiful bridge between home and school, allowing families to celebrate the holiday together within our school community. The air was filled with laughter and excitement as children explored the various game booths and festive stalls, making it a truly unforgettable way to start the new lunar year.

Building Connections Through Culture and Tradition

Whether it was a Primary student perfecting their brushwork or a PN student playing their first festival game, these celebrations highlight the vibrant community spirit at St. Johannes College. These events are not just about fun; they are essential for helping our students understand and value the traditions that bring us together. We are so grateful to the parents and staff who helped make this year’s “Year of the Rabbit” festivities a resounding success!
