It is my pleasure to welcome all our students, parents, and staff to another exciting year of learning and growth at SJC. Since our founding in 1962 by Dr. Thomas T.S. Liang, SJC has proudly upheld a tradition of academic excellence, holistic education, and a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

This year, we are especially delighted to welcome our new Primary 1 students and all newcomers across different grades to the SJC family. Together, we embark on a journey filled with discovery, development, and memorable experiences and long lasting friendship.

At SJC, we continue to embrace the English medium of instruction from Pre-Nursery through Primary 6, fostering an inclusive and vibrant community that celebrates diversity and encourages curiosity. Our dedicated teachers are committed to delivering a curriculum that not only builds strong academic foundations but also nurtures character, creativity, and critical thinking.

Building on this foundation, we are excited to introduce several new initiatives designed to enrich our students’ learning experiences and personal growth:
• Other Learning Experiences (OLE): Offering a wide range of activities—from Uniform and Sports Teams to Voice of Impact, Logic Masters, and Singing Stars—our students have ample opportunities to explore their interests and develop new talents.
• CLAPS Program: Our holistic CLAPS initiative focuses on Character building, Leadership development, Awareness and Appreciation, Problem and Project-based learning, and Service to the community. Through CLAPS, we aim to cultivate compassionate, confident leaders ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
• DEAR Time (Drop Everything and Read): To foster a lifelong love of reading, DEAR Time encourages students to immerse themselves in literature in both English and Chinese, strengthening their language skills and broadening their horizons.
We believe that education extends beyond academics; it is about nurturing well-rounded individuals who appreciate themselves and others, contribute positively to society, and embrace lifelong learning.
