Thank you for your interest in St. Johannes College. We are now accepting online applications for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 academic year.

Students seeking enrollment at St. Johannes College from Pre-Nursery to Primary 6 (P6) are placed according to their age on or before 31 December. To help you with placement, here are SJC’s entry age guidelines for the following academic years:

Our Admissions Process

STEP 01 ONLINE APPLICATION & DOCUMENTS

  1. Create an online application.
  2. Please have the following documents, ready to upload in the online application, to ensure a seamless application process:
    • Photograph of the applicant
    • Copy of the photograph page (and the “visa / permit page” if applicable) of the applicant’s passport
    • Copy of applicant’s birth certificate 
    • Copy of applicant’s Hong Kong ID Card (if applicable) 
    • Recent academic reports from the applicant’s current school (for Pre-Nursery & Kindergarten 1 applicants, please upload a photo of the student if they do not have an academic report)
    • Copy of the bank transfer receipt of the application fee payment:
      • Pre-Nursery and Kindergarten – HK$40
      • Primary – HK$100
        Please note that you are required to pay an application fee through bank transfer before you complete the online application. The application fee includes the interview fee and is non-refundable and non-transferable whether the application is successful or not.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • An application with insufficient supporting documents or without payment will not be processed.
  • Registration is not completed until parents have received acknowledgement of application and the application fee has been duly paid. Registration does not, however, constitute an offer of a place at the school.
  • Students can apply for immediate transfers up to two years before entry. 

STEP 02 INTERVIEW

Once the online application has been submitted with all supporting documents and the application fee payment, parents will receive a confirmation email from SJC regarding their child’s interview within 3-7 working days. If you have not received a confirmation email after 7 days, please contact us at admissions@st-johannes.edu.hk for further details.

The admission interview will take place at St. Johannes College’s campus. Applicants should bring their confirmation email with them. The recommended dress code for applicants is either their current school uniform or smart casual wear.

The purpose of the SJC admissions interview is to evaluate your child’s current level of proficiency in English and Chinese in an age-appropriate way, their academic performance, extracurricular interests, and their potential to thrive in and contribute to our diverse international community.


STEP 03 OFFER CONFIRMATION

After the completion of the interviews, parents will be informed whether their child has been:

  • Offered a guaranteed placement at St. Johannes College, or
  • Placed on our waiting list for possible entry

St. Johannes College will send an acceptance offer email along with important information regarding enrollment. If the family wishes to accept the offer, they must provide payment of the subsequent tuition fees within the time frame specified in the offer letter in order to guarantee enrollment. Placement will be confirmed on receipt of the tuition fee.

If the family fails to notify the school of their decision to either accept or decline enrollment before the deadline specified in the offer letter, the offer will be withdrawn and placement will be offered to another qualified applicant.
